26.02. Refugees Welcome – Vernetzungsabend mit Asyl-Initiativen

Wir laden alle Menschen ein, die Interesse haben sich über Initiativen mit dem Schwerpunkt Asyl zu informieren. An diesem Abend werden die Gruppen kurz skizzieren, was sie machen und wie sich Interessierte einbringen können. Anschließend stehen die Vorstellenden für Gespräche zur Verfügung. Es geht uns nicht darum professionelle Sozialarbeit zu ersetzen oder mit ehrenamtlichen Engagement das Image der Stadt aufzupolieren. Hier hat die Stadt eine klare Verantwortlichkeit, die sie wahrnehmen muss. Trotzdem finden wir es wichtig direkt mit Menschen in Kontakt zu treten und wollen uns gegenseitig bilden, vernetzen und von einander lernen. Am 26.02. laden wir euch zu diesem Austausch ab 19:30 Uhr ins AZ Conni ein.

Refugees Welcome – Networking Evening with Initiatives for Asylum

We would like to invite all interested people who want to know more about initiatives whose focus is on asylum. The meeting will serve as a platform for different groups to present themselves and to show how people can get involved. Afterwards, the groups will be available for further discussions.
However, the aim here is not to replace professional social work or to polish the image of the city with the help of voluntary work. In this regard, the responsibility still rests with the city which has to perform its duties. Despite this, we believe that it is important to get in touch with people. We want to exchange, create networks and learn from each other.

Therefore, we cordially invite you on Thursday 26th February 7.30 pm to AZ Conni.

Fluchtgrund Kapitalismus. „We are here because you destroy our countries“

Gespräch mit Mouctar Bah (Oury-Jalloh-Initiative Dessau)

Zwischen 1988 und 2014 starben an den Grenzen der Europäischen Union mehr als 20.000 Menschen. Die Staaten der EU und insbesondere Deutschland definieren „anerkannte“ Fluchtgründe und verhindern fast jeden legalen Zugang in den globalen Norden. Dabei nehmen sie den Tod, Folter und Traumatisierungen von Refugees in Kauf.

„Anerkannt“ werden derzeit politische Gründe, wie auch religiöse Verfolgung. Mit Bezugnahme darauf, wird der Fluchtgrund Kapitalismus institutionell wie auch im gesellschaftlich bestritten und umfassend kriminalisiert.

Angesichts kapitalistischer Konkurrenz- und Ausbeutungsstrukturen ist jeder Grund – auch ökonomisch motivierte Fluchtgründe – genuin politisch. Der Aktivist Mouctar Bah spricht über die Selbstorganisierung von Refugees in Deutschland, die sich gegen die systematische Unterdrückung und Ausbeutung, sowohl in ihren Ländern als auch hier wehren.

More than 20,000 people died at the borders of the European Union between 1988 and 2014. The states of the EU and especially Germany define so called „legitimate“ reasons for flight – also to prevent a almost any legal entry to the global north. Therefore death, torture and traumatization of refugees are accepted.

Currently „legitimate“ are political reasons as well as religious motivated persecution. Capitalism as a reason for flight is not accepted in the governmental institutions as well as in society.

However, under conditions of capitalistic competition and exploitation all reasons – also economic ones – are purely political reasons. The activist Mouctar Bah will talk about self-organisation of Refugees in Germany fighting against systematic oppression and exploitation in their countries and here.
